BETTER OR WORSE!
As I wrote before, it would be impossible for me to write an exhaustive commentary on the Chapters on Creation in a Blog, so I am choosing a few highlights to give you a foundational understanding of where I am coming from.
Remember, you always have the choice of disagreeing, ignoring or just moving on. Additionally, I encourage you to check the accuracy of what I say with a Bible. Humbly stated, my role is not to debate what any other source says on any other Religion/ Political system/Tradition/ or just what the newest code of Political correctness/Tolerance is; rather it is simply to share with you what the Bible says. So, please assess me only with the Bible, since that is the only standard I adhere to and know.

Today let us pick up yet another important lesson from Genesis 2.
Genesis 2: 18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a help meet for him. 19 And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto the man to see what he would call them; and whatever the man called every living soul, that was its name. 20 And the man gave names to every beast, and to the fowl of the heavens, and to every animal of the field; but for the man there was not found a help meet for him. 21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept; and he took one of his sides and closed up the flesh in its place; 22 and the LORD God built that which he had taken from the side of the man into a woman and brought her unto the man.

23 And the man said, This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman because she was taken out of Man. 24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother and shall cleave unto his wife; and they shall be one flesh. 25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.(JUBB2000)

As I wrote in the last post, the one thing Sovereign God chose to give Man was and is “Freedom of Choice.” Although He remains Sovereign, the Creator by His Personal Choice does not supersede your right to choose. He simply invites and informs you of the blessings and consequences of your choice.
That said, their is one place He gave no choice. That was in the matter of Procreation. Everything Creator God made, i.e, seed bearing plants, trees etc, marine life, birds of the air, and land animals, were to procreate after their OWN KIND. For the generations of anything to continue it was imperative for it to “stay in it’s own lane,” so to speak, and procreate with it’s own kind.
Dogs were to create other dogs, eagles were to make other eagles, sharks were to produce only other sharks, apples grew only on apple trees. . . . this was God’s design and command, the DNA was not to be contaminated, for only He as creator knew how best this Project Earth was truly going to thrive.
Case in point: Many years ago, I had a car that needed transmission fluid. Now I know nothing about cars, so this was information given me by an amateur who thought himself to be a mechanic. He wasn’t!. Thinking of me as a damsel-in-distress, he offered to diagnose the problem and fix it. Naive me, (or shall I say stupid!), decided to let him. The car, by his assessment needed transmission fluid, so he poured in what he had in his possession to do the work: radiator fluid.
You guessed it, the car effectively died! The amateur mechanic felt so bad, he assured me he could get it fixed by someone else, which also did not work. Many days later, finally at a reputable auto shop, close to two thousand dollars lighter, I had a new transmission, some other new parts, and I could drive my car.
Lesson: Radiator fluid belongs in a radiator, not in the transmission.
Lesson: The designer of the car knows best what works on the car.
Lesson: Do not be fooled by someone unfamiliar with the workings of a car.
Lesson: Use only someone who has been trained to work on said engine of said car.
When Sovereign God paraded the animals before Adam and had him name them, He noted that they all had a suitable mate, everything had been created male and female, but there was no suitable mate for Adam.
TADAAAA!!!! Enter Eve . . .
Adam needed a helpmate to procreate (and so much more) in order to multiply and fill the Earth to have dominion and this someone special had to be someone that would be same and equal to him yet different.
The nugget I want to pick for today and the next post:
Genesis 2: For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh. (NASB)
This is the only formula for marriage given in the Bible. Decades of counseling couples on marriage and teaching on the subject, has brought me to the conclusion that everything else The Creator said about marriage in His Word only expounds on the foundational truth presented in this one verse given above.
God did not create choices for Adam! Any other choice would have been counter-productive to His purpose:
One Man – One Woman: No shades of grey. The Creator did not make ADAM, STEVE MARK, CHARLIE ET AL along with MARY, ANNE, LIZZY, SUSIE ET AL. He did not say “Adam take your pick, and oh, by the way, gender options remain open!” He didn’t say Adam and Steve, or Eve and Susie were options!
For life: Again, there was no other option! God didn’t say “In case this doesn’t last Adam, you can pick a different partner, gender. . . a non-factor.”
United in purpose: Whereas another variation might have been okay for some tasks they were to do together, procreation could be accomplished only by two people of different gender. God’s purpose was Purity and Oneness. Adam contained in him, only EVE not any other. Since she that was taken from him, she alone could only fit with him.
The formula is threefold: Leave, Cleave and Become one. . . We will pick up on this in the next Post!
