What God said did happen!

May 14th, 1948 Israel declared independence, the UN recognized and declared the ancient land mass be given to the Jewish people to have a homeland and it was named Israel. Again, God kept the promise He gave to Abraham in Genesis 15: 18-20.

In the Old Testament when the Israel’s rebellion continued over time, and the people kept going after other gods rather than follow the One True God who had loved and delivered them again and again, God had no choice but to send them into exile. Before the exile Isaiah and other prophets prophesied about the coming events. They warned as God gave the utterance.  God also gave hope. Through Isiaiah God declared after being scattered, He would bring the back to their homeland, and that nation would be born in one day. This was spoken through the prophet Isaiah almost 2,500 years ago:

Isaiah 66:   8“Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things?
Can a land be born in one day?
Can a nation be brought forth all at once?
As soon as Zion travailed, she also brought forth her sons.(NASB)

Israel literally started from scratch, but in just a little over 70 years it has become one of the most thriving and strong nations. In the Middle East it is the only Democracy today.

You may wonder why in teaching end time prophecy I am giving this information on Israel. You may have truoble accepting that Israel has such a major role to play in these end times and prophecy of the future, which is no longer afar off but very close. Many have personal biases that make them turn away. Remember, all future is known and directed by God Himself. So it is not upto us to decide who the players should be or what should happen.  In fact the very rebellion of man against God is what ends up fulfilling some very tragic prophecies of the future. So, please refrain from that temptation in case you feel angry, and just receive the information, pray about it asking God to give you the revelation you need.

Believe me when I say, this is but a drop of information on Israel, but give I must if you are to understand what is going on globally today, as well as what is to come in the very near future.

The eyes of the World will be even more glued to Israel in the coming days. Things are moving fast and the more you understand prophecy, the wiser you will be as you watch global events. Sadly many churches do not address the issue of prophecy at all. There are even whole denominations that do not accept the role of Israel in prophecy today. They are sadly mistaken, and will answer to God. I like being in the company of the many that do see and accept Israel as the beloved people and Nation of God. To deny that would place me at odds with the very Word of God, and I have no desire to be in that dangerous place.

He is called the God of Israel again and again in the Bible, He gave an unconditional promise to Abraham, and remember God cannot lie.  In the promise given in Genesis 15 there was no “If you” or “Then I” which would make it conditional. There are many promises that God made that were conditional, but not this one. If God then broke His promise, how could He be trusted for any other promise?

Please, examine the evidence before you conclude anything.

Proverbs 16:20 One who pays attention to the word will find good,

And blessed is one who trusts in the LORD. (NASB)

and

Proverbs 18: 13 One who gives an answer before he hears,

It is foolishness and shame to him.(NASB)

In the Old Testament alone we find more than 350 prophecies that Jesus fulfilled in His first coming.

https://accordingtothescriptures.org/prophecy/353prophecies.html

Above is a link to one site that gives a list of fulfilled prophecies.

Now there are many more prophecies of the second coming. Do you suppose He will fail to fulfill those? I do not! He is a God who cannot lie, so I will trust and wait!

Each of the books of the Bible contain some prophecy, both in the Old Testament and the New Testament. Apparently God thought it was important. Sometimes the message is loud and clear, other times it is hidden in a word picture, a metaphor, an allegory, a parable, or an inferred message. It is not difficult to find, you just have to be in tune with what He wants to show.

Example: The Book of Ruth contains the love story of Ruth and Boaz. In this beautiful descriptive essay is a picture of the Lord Jesus getting betrothed to His beloved the Church and becoming her Kinsman Redeemer following the rule described in Numbers 27.

Example: In a vision God brought Ezekiel to a valley full of dry human bones and said:

Ezekiel 37: He said to me, “Prophesy over these bones and say to them, ‘You dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.’ 5This is what the Lord GOD says to these bones: ‘Behold, I am going to make breath enter you so that you may come to life. 6And I will attach tendons to you, make flesh grow back on you, cover you with skin, and put breath in you so that you may come to life; and you will know that I am the LORD.’”(NASB)

This refers to Israel considered dead and scattered among the nations coming alive again. Reminders of the condition that Israel was in can be seen in pictures from the holocaust. They looked like skeletons walking, yet through that valley of death, came the new Nation which now thrives.

God will do what He says. His calender is not ours, neither are His ways like your and mine:

Isaiah 55:  8 Because my thoughts are not as your thoughts, and my ways are not as your ways, says LORD JEHOVAH (ARA)

Example: The Jewish wedding is a picture of the Lord’s wedding to the Church. I love this because it is quite similar to the old fashioned, very traditional Indian wedding. In the old Jewish wedding the betrothal is considered as important as the wedding itself. So once the engagement is done, the bride and groom are sworn to each other. After the betrothal, the groom returns to his father’s house to prepare a room, a dwelling place for his bride. Jesus is referred to as a Groom and the Church is to be His Bride.

John 14: 2In My Father’s house are many rooms; if that were not so, I would have told you, because I am going there to prepare a place for you. 3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also (NASB)

Jesus, the Church’s bethrothed, (Eph. 5:23) has returned to His Father’s house to prepare a dwelling place for His Bride, the Church(John 14: 2-3). In the Old Testament tradition, the groom did not know when his father would tell him to go get the bride. It was his father who made that decision. When it was time he would leave quickly for he would be eager. This would not happen until the dwelling place was complete and ready to receive the bride. Clearly, in the same tradition Jesus also is preparing a place for us (His Church, His Bride) in Heaven and He will return to take us so we can live with Him in our new home with Him. However, also following in the tradition Jesus Himself did not not know when that would be, so He  said:

Matthew 24:  36“But about that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. (NASB)

I think I have given enough examples to give you an idea how the Bible presents prophecies that speak of the future. Remember God is outside of Time and able to see what was, is and is to come.

1948 The Hinge of Prophecy.

Keeping in mind that the Prophetic clock could not have started until Israel became a Nation once more, and a home to the Jews scattered about around the World, we start our study in 1948. This will become even more clear as we look at the Scriptures.

Hitler’s goal was to wipe off the Jews from the planet, Hitler was in tune with the Devil himself who has wanted to destroy God’s chosen people for millennia because they are loved by God. As Jesus said,  Salvation is from the Jews! That is reason enough for the Devil to be their enemy.

It says in the Bible that even when people (or the Devil) mean harm for someone, God can turn the outcome to the positive, for good to the person(s).

Genesis 50: 20 As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to keep many people alive. (NASB)

So God even took something horrible like the holocaust and used it to bring the Jews back to their anscestral land where they are planted forever. They will never again go into exile, God will see to it.

The prophet Daniel was given a timeline as I wrote in my last post. Daniel was given what is called the prophecy of 70 weeks. At the end of 69 weeks, the Messiah would be cut off. (Daniel 9: 26) When the messiah was crucified the Prophetic clock stopped . . . one week short of seventy.

This prophecy was fulfilled to the day on what we now call Palm Sunday, when Jesus rode a donkey entering Jerusalem:

Mark 11: 7 And they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him. 8 And many spread their garments in the way: and others cut down branches off the trees, and strawed them in the way. 9 And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna; Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord: 10 Blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest. (KJV)

Daniel was told of a final World empire that would have one ruler over the whole World.

This is where we are heading today. You are hearing  phrases like A NEW WORLD ORDER in the news. All of this was spoken of in the Bible.

The Bible has a lot to say about these times, and if you are truly searching, you will find the answers. Some answers may not make you happy, but you will at least have them. Then the choice of what to do with the information is yours.

The Bible addresses what you see going on today in the World. Jesus Himself spoke about these times. So did the prophets, and the apostles. None of what is happening today should be a surprise to anyone who knows the Bible. In fact Christians should be familiar with the Bible enough to know what is coming ahead of time.

1 Thessalonians 5: 4 But you are not in darkness, brothers, for that day to surprise you like a thief. 5 For you are all childrenb of light, children of the day. We are not of the night or of the darkness. 6 So then let us not sleep, as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober. (ESV)

That said, I must say even I am surprised at the speed that I see prophecy being fulfilled.
