This was not the plan today, but I must interject . . .

I assume you all are watching the news as I am. Writing on Prophecy, I must keep my eyes on the news everyday.

The War that possibly could morph into a much bigger Global war has just begun. I watch with a measure of horror/sorrow/pain for the suffering. I know the human toll will be substantial for one loss is too much. I do not want babies to be left without parents, parents left to bereave their children no matter the age, wives left to mourn for their husbands, nor husbands left to trudge onwards without their wives. I think about the animals that suffer without cause of their making.

In prayer I petition my Father for relief, an end to suffering, protection of all, but especially the innocent. I petition He send His Son Jesus quickly and hurry the happenings of the times so we can have a One World Government set up by the King Himself and settle in for peace that will last a thousand years.

Yet, I know, as I watch news clips on TV and read articles from a distant land that life must continue where I am. Just like you!! I feel inadequate . . . 

Since I am retired now, I no longer have a “job” to get ready for, yet I still do the things that are part of life. Things I can’t retire from. 

I must do the daily routine, the days work includes seemingly inane things like making the bed, doing the dishes, preparing meals, feeding the family, laundry, sweeping, tending to whatever needs tending. 

The news is on and I listen as the President of Ukraine states in a clip that this may well be the last time he will be seen, He knows he is target number one.

Zelenskyy grew up in Kryvyi Rih, a Russian-speaking region in southeastern Ukraine.^[3] Prior to his acting career, Zelenskyy obtained a degree in law from the Kyiv National Economic University. He then pursued comedy and created the production company Kvartal 95, which produces films, cartoons, and TV shows including Servant of the People, in which Zelenskyy played the role of president of Ukraine. The series aired from 2015 to 2019 and was immensely popular. A political party bearing the same name as the television show was created in March 2018 by employees of Kvartal 95.

Zelenskyy announced his candidacy for the 2019 Ukrainian presidential election on the evening of 31 December 2018, alongside the New Year’s Eve address of President Petro Poroshenko on 1+1 TV Channel. A political outsider, he had already become one of the frontrunners in opinion polls for the election. He won the election with 73.2 per cent of the vote in the second round, defeating Poroshenko. Identifying as a populist, he has positioned himself as an anti-establishment, anti-corruption figure.

I understand why he would be target number one! Sadly, I am in agreement with his own assessment. In today’s world integrity doesn’t get you far in politics. I pray for him, but with sorrow for I suspect this will not end well for him. I admire him for his choice not to leave his nation unlike the Afghan president who absconded with millions of dollars to safety. This young man has chosen to go down with the ship . . . and I see him as a true hero and a man of integrity for that.  

I am in the kitchen doing meal prep. I wonder about my own spirit:

What can I do? Other than prayer, sending money/or goods as I can to organizations that help, what can I do?? My heart is not satisfied . . .

I watched the vote at the UN security Council today. There are 15 countries on this council. ‍ Permanent members are : China, France, Russia, United Kingdom United States ‍ Non-permanent members are: Estonia, India, Ireland, Kenya, Mexico, Niger, Norway, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Tunisia, Vietnam.

The resolution drafted and voted on was one that called for immediate stop of war and retreat of Russia to its own territory.

As expected Russia vetoed (It has the power to do so) and so the resolution was not passed.

Three countries, India, China and the UAE abstained! Interestingly the ones that abstained mainained their concern for the nation of Ukraine, but as India stated, they want diplomacy to continue.

Hmm??!!

Choosing to abstain because diplomacy must continue while rockets explode, bullets are fired and people are dying? What am I missing . . . ??

This is the Scripture that came immediately to mind . . . in the coming war that is referred to as the Gog and Magog war, there will be nations that will utter statements akin to this Scripture. I will write more on that later, but today suddenly I could see how this would go down with greater clarity than ever before. There will be nations at the UN when the Coalition of Nations comes against the land of Israel, led by Russia, that will be busy writing resolutions, and making requests for restraint, asking foolish questions as to motive, but doing nothing to offer material/necessary and immediate help. 

Ukraine today is a great foretelling of the pattern of things to come. The UN counsel may as well be asking Russia: Are you going to take the minerals in the land for yourself? You won’t take anymore than is necessary, will you?  You won’t kill, maime and hurt people more than you need to, will you?

Paper Tigers . . . they do not even have a roar they can produce! Paper tigers who pretend to be Supermen, but whose resolutions, even when they do pass are not worth the paper they are written on to nations that are determined to have their own way.

Friends, this little commentary is just to alert you to what is coming in the near future. Come it will! The Lord has foretold it! This same Nation, Russia, will come with a coalition against the Holy Land. When it comes to destroy and pillage, other nations will do exactly what they are doing to help Ukraine . . . NOTHING!

Isaiah 46: 9 Remember the former things of old,
For I am God, and there is no other;
I am God, and there is none like Me,
10 Declaring the end from the beginning,
And from ancient times things that are not yet done,
Saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, (NKJV)

Be mindful, there is a God who knows, who foretells and who wants you to trust Him . . . you don’t have to wait! 

Pray for Ukraine today, will you??
