Psalm 33: 11 The plan of the LORD stands forever,
The plans of His heart from generation to generation.(NASB)
It has been three years plus since I last posted. Perhaps I owe and explanation as to why I waited this long.
You might say it was due to circumstances beyond my control. Life was busy anyway with family and friends. I never stopped teaching the Bible, so it seemed okay to take a break. It felt like life was at a crossroads as far as writing was concerned because FaceBook suddenly decided my Blog was too controversial and not meeting their community standard. This was the second time. What the standards were and how I had violated them was never explained. The first time it took months of filing appeals, going back and forth. Too much time and energy was spent fighting needless fights. This time again there was no explanation, no easy opportunity to appeal. It was done, that’s all there was to it. Thankfully it wasn’t taken down but they banned me from promoting it in anyway.
The Blog had been going strong, I never monetized feeling it was my ministry, my offering and with strategic planning with family we were able to get the Word into every Country save two. And then, it dropped from a cliff!
There was a precipitous drop in my viewership. It was discouraging and what I had imagined would be a short break to seek guidance became a very long time.
Meanwhile I have been busy studying and teaching and spending time with family and loved ones, living daily life. The Prophecy class was still meeting until recently. After well over a decade, it was time for a hiatus. In addition I am just finishing up teaching in-depth on the Book of Hebrews. It has taken two years doing a weekly class. we skipped a few for different reasons. It has been a remarkable journey of learning for all of us. I find I learn the most when I teach, because it requires more study. There is always more you see when you study afresh. That is the best part. I actually wondered if my season for writing a Blog was over… kind of an age/ stage/season thing!
The Blog was still online in case anyone stumbled upon it, but I never checked the numbers because I thought that other than an occasional person there would be nobody. I didn’t even open the emails sent by WordPress.
Then one day not too long ago someone said words that prompted me just enough to make me to check. To say I was hesitant would be an understatement, but I did after fortifying myself for another major disappointment. I was convinced the number of views would be absolutely negligent and I would be once again be broken hearted. I had surrendered the Blog to the Lord to use it however He wished and walked away.
One glance at the Stats was enough to shock me totally! I thought when I left it to Him, He might use it for a few, but the number of views was staggering! I couldn’t believe my own eyes.
Once the shock was over, I realized I gave up but He didn’t. My writing had not been in vain, and even FaceBook had not managed to stop the flow. The numbers were higher on Facebook but God knew who needed to see it and did use it. Indeed, to You Lord Jesus, do I give all glory, because I had certainly not been involved in this part at all.
So, I had to mentally process and literally ask for a desire to write the Blog again.
If my words mean anything to anyone who may be discouraged, here they are. When you are low, God remains in His place. When you are weak He remains your strength. I thought I was doing well, but had yet more lessons to learn. You can too!
Perhaps you have given up on things you felt called to before He gave permission for you to walk away. Pray and ask again for He says:
Isaiah 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord.
9For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.(ESV)
So, God willing, I will write again… perhaps it will be different. I don’t know how, but I am willing to find out.
By the way, the last pieces I wrote may seem outdated because the political situation has changed much in America and elsewhere.
Maps change, leaders change, political parties get transformed, culture changes, storms come and go as do wars, there is a season for everything, but His Word NEVER changes. The prophetic that I dealt with still holds true. I know you will be discerning as you read. What may seem a turn of events may be a reprieve often allowed by God in answer to the prayers of His people. This allows the Gospel to go out and His mercy to be revealed yet again. But the prophetic clock is ticking still. He is never late, always exactly on time!
Ecclesiastes 3:1 For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:(ESV)
So, when you read some things in my posts from three years ago that may seem outdated, such as the mention of Ukraine War, or even our Admin, please note the emphasis is not on them as much as it is on the Word of God and it’s promised, tried and true accuracy.
In the end know this:
Ecclesiastes 12:13 The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.c 14For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil.(ESV)
I will be back with more.
Can’t tell you what He will have me write about, I have to discover as well, but you will see when I post.
Meanwhile, Let me leave you with this:
Isaiah 55: 6“Seek the Lord while he may be found;
call upon him while he is near;
7let the wicked forsake his way,
and the unrighteous man his thoughts;
let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him,
and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.(ESV)
I hope you will read more of my Blog and find something encouraging for your life.
May His Blessing be upon you and yours.
