John 3: 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (MKJV)
Ephesians 5: 1 Be you therefore followers of God, as dear children; 2 And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us, and has given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling smell.(MKJV)
Let’s do this again, this time from a different perspective . . .
The last Me Too! He Too!! blog is doing well. I am pleased that people are catching my drift and agreeing that there is more to life than being a victim, we can be victors instead. Especially since we have a God who loved us so much that He gave His very own life to die a gruesome death so we can have a chance not only to have a better life here, but that we may live eternally with Him in His presence after we are done with this mortal body.
I need to understand that it really was not a fair trade for Him . . . He gave His everything for me and to me in exchange for what?! . . . my abused body/soul/spirit, my wounded and crushed heart, my fears, my feelings of rejection, depression, anger, rage, hopelessness and helplessness. I was a mess!
I wanted nothing to do with forgiveness, it felt too good to hang on to hatred and anger. It felt justified! Forgiving would mean letting go of anger and rage! I felt as if I could hold the one who wounded me hostage to my anger. If I had a way to hurt him back, I probably would have! Sad thing was he didn’t have a care. He moved on, seemed happy in his life.
He wasn’t the only one . . . the people who lied and gossiped about me in church had no awareness of how they had damaged my heart. the gossip spread and my character, my honor was questioned. How do you put fire back in a lighter? The flames had already caught on and my reputation lay in tatters.
The worst part was knowing I had lived a clean life, had been a “Miss Goody Two Shoes!”
I was so wounded I wanted to end it all.

So, you and I can speak of a lot of sad “Me Too” moments, but here is the other side:
You hit rock bottom, but He pulled you from the Pit?! Me Too!!
You thought you were beyond saving, but He saved you?! Me Too!!
You took your wounded heart to Him and He gave you rest?! Me Too!!
You were angry and bitter, but He washed it all away, and now you feel free to live in forgiveness?! Me Too!!
You had no hope for tomorrow but He gave you hope for eternity?! Me Too!!
You found Him to be Faithful even when you lost your faith?! Me Too!!
You cried buckets of tears of sorrow but He came and now you cry tears of gratitude?! Really, we have so much in common! Me Too!!
You were in need of healing for your spirit/ soul/ body and He healed you?! Me Too!!
You thought you couldn’t ever be loved, but found that He loved you enough to die for you?! Amazing, Me Too!!
You thought you were destined for hell, but now know He is the only Way to heaven?! Yes, Me Too!!
You now live life differently with hope, joy, love and peace because He changed you from the inside?! Me Too!!
You find yourself being a kinder, gentler person; you love your family more, you pick your friends differently, you actually LIKE CHURCH, and you genuinely love people; all because you feel loved by Him?! Wow, Me Too!!
You actually love talking about Him and sharing Him with others?! You know . . . Me Too!!
You really feel the change and are amazed that you love reading the Bible and getting to know Him more?! ME TOO!!
You choose your words carefully now, and want to learn even more to speak truth and do it with love?! Hard one, but Me Too!!
You find yourself praying, speaking with Him just because . . . ?! You even break out singing just to worship?! Really, Me Too!!
You now love Him more than anything and find He gets sweeter and lovelier everyday, as your love for Him grows?! 43 years, Me Too!!
Quite a list, isn’t it?
I know there is so much more that you and I can be grateful for, but this is a good start . . Don’t you think?! I know . . . Me Too!!

A life of gratitude is definitely better than the old life!
You agree?! Me Too!!
Here’s a thought . . . how about adding your Me Too! to my Me Too!! and leaving a comment if you agree??
