I wrote briefly of the Devil’s agenda in my previous post. Can you bear with me as say more about it?
I wrote that it is the Devils agenda to keep us humans divided. In fact he has been sowing division since the Garden of Eden! He sowed division between God and Human, as well as between Human and Human! By dividing the Devil conquors. Small families as well as large Nations suffer the same tragic fate when they are divided!

Referring to Satan, Jesus said:
John 10: 10 The thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.(AJKV)
Satan steals from us our peace by division, seduces us into thinking it is better we follow him than God, and thanks to our sin nature, we find it perfectly acceptable to lie, cheat, rob, and steal, even kill . . . that is, until someone does it to us.
Where did this start?
In Gen. 3: 4 And the serpent said to the woman, You shall not surely die: 5 For God does know that in the day you eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and you shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.(AKJV)
To create doubt is the first step in sowing division. Eve knew God’s command was to not eat the fruit, but now she was beguiled by the Devil into doubting God’s intent instead of trusting. In the end this disobedience led to being ousted from their home with a curse upon them. The fellowship with their Maker was broken, and their trust with each other was never the same. Homeless, they discovered how difficult it was in the wilderness where Adam had to labor with the sweat of his brow just to survive. Didn’t take long for more to go wrong! Their firstborn son Cain killed his younger brother Abel . . . and so on and so on!
Fast forward to our generation:
Much of our Nation has walked away from God and decided we humans can govern ourselves better without His help. In the last several decades, I have seen the Country change, and not for the better. We decided to show God the door and told Him we didn’t need Him. That is when this transformation of the Nation started. Just as Adam and Eve decided they would do better by leaving God out of their decisions, we decided by kicking God out of our schools and colleges. We said “No Bible, No Prayer” in our educational institutions. Abandoning God and His Word only led to a godless and faulty “moral code” determined by godless men, and to every kind of immoral behavior.
The “rulemakers” said: “No More,” to us “Keep your religion private”
“Don’t impose your morality on us”
“We don’t want your God”
“No mixing of Church and State,” they said . . .
The call was to secularize and be enlightened . . . “Man can govern himself!”
“Man is his own God!”
“The old fashioned notion of God is outdated.”
“It is just superstition, and if you persist, we will shun you . . . keep it to yourself, nobody wants to hear it.”
They talked of Humanism, Secularism . . . and yes, Socialism. “Tolerance” became the social “Mantra” and “Social Justice” became the new “god!”
Somehow, all this work to bring unity among people by teaching tolerance and social justice doesn’t seem to be working and sadly I see the Nations of the world (not just the USA) writhing in pain due to divisions.
Remember the Ten Commandments?

The Ten Commandments from the Bible that were removed from public places, including our schools/universities/Government offices, courtrooms and more. The Ten Commandments from the Bible that were the bedrock foundation of the USA. The same Ten Commandments that were taught to the children at home by their parents, confirmed in their Sunday School at Church and then reaffirmed in primary school and all the way through University?
Yes, even our Ivy League Universities were founded on Christian Principles and housed our top notch Seminaries. These Commandments were a code to live by. They all understood that when God spoke He didn’t make a suggestion, He gave a Command!
The Bible was taught and God’s Word was written on our hearts, and we lived by them in our daily walk at home, at work on the farm and wherever else we went?
Well, here are the last three of the Ten Commandments:
Exodus 20: 15 You shall not steal.
16 You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
17 You shall not covet your neighbor’s house, you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is your neighbor’s.(AKJV)
Now, without these being followed . . . how is it working . . . ?! How is the change looking?!
Ask those that have had their businesses looted, burned, and ransacked by marauding mobs rioting in the streets, using bricks as weapons, and anything else they can find.
One restuarant was attacked, and as soon as the first brick landed through the window, this young owner (or worker . . . I do not know) ran to the broken window shouting “Hey, stop, we are ON YOUR SIDE . . . we are ON YOUR SIDE . . . don’t do this!” His cries stopped noone. The mob, entered, broke and destroyed everything in minutes, just like the locusts, and then left . . . leaving devastation in it’s wake.

These mobs have seem to have no leader, yet they too go forth in bands just to destroy.
I remember locusts . . . yes, I know even now real locusts are attacking in different countries now across the globe.

When I was growing up in Delhi it seemed every year in summer, when our garden would be producing well, we would be terrorized by locust bands.
I remember being in the garden and laundry on the line. Hearing a rustling sound we looked toward the horizon, and tried to determine: Dust storm? (yes, we lived through many of those as well!) or could it be locusts?? Dust storms came as a rushing wind, the other . . . well, millions and millions of locusts sounded worse! “Hurry, get the laundry off the line!!” We rushed to get the clothes off the line, and running indoors we raced to shut all the doors, bar the windows, draw the drapes, even stuffing rags under the doors to keep them out.
They landed, we listened, the rustle quieted a bit as they demolished our garden. A few minutes later the rustle heightened as they took wing again and as quickly as they came, they were gone. When it got quiet, we ventured out to take stock and as expected not much was left of the plants. They wreaked havoc on whatever plants were there. Farmers lost their crops, which led to food shortages . . . really destructive creatures!!
No difference between them and these mobs. Looting mobs have the same impact. Suddenly and quickly they swoop in, wreak havoc, destroy property and businesses, looting and burning without thought or regard for the lives, livelihood, hardwork of others, and take whatever they desire, robbing, stealing as common thieves with no fear. How is that any better that the insect I speak of. In fact I have no desire to insult the insect for it is driven by instinct, whereas humans resorting to such behavior only demonstrate a callous and deadened conscience which is far more dangerous. There is a God from whom they cannot hide.

Looting and burning
When we do not follow God and deny Him by refusing to walk with Him, He has no choice but to allow us to go through times like this. Any good parent who has to allow his/her child to learn some harsh life lessons by allowing him/her to make mistakes and fail, so the child learns to do better can attest to that.
God’s protection is removed by our disobedience and we suffer. That said, there is something that does not change: His unfailing love for us humans. He promises to restore and heal:
Joel 2: 25 And I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. 25 And you shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that has dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.(AJKV)
However, one thing must precede this promise. . . Repentence! God says in:
2 Chronicles 7: 13 If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; 14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 15 Now my eyes shall be open, and my ears attentive to the prayer that is made in this place.(AKJV)
This call is to His people, people who believe in God. His people are to humble themselves, repent, turn back to Him and ernestly seek His face! He did not ask for the unbeliever to do this task, it the prayer of the believer that brings forgiveness and healing to the Nation.
Sometimes I get frustrated! The world mocks God and loves wickedness. Can the world possibly turn back to God at this point?? How can the righteous continue to do righteously when they are persecuted?! Then I remember . . . My hope is in Him. I also remember the Psalmist David struggling with the same question . . .
Psalm 73: 12 Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches.13 Truly I have cleansed my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocence. 14 For all the day long have I been plagued, and chastened every morning. . . 16 When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me; 17 Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end. 18 Surely you did set them in slippery places: you cast them down into destruction. 19 How are they brought into desolation, as in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors.
Mob rule never did any civilization any good. History is replete with examples of mobs taking over cities by force. In the end Order must prevail, so the very ones who takeover by force, end up being ruled by authoritarian forces and their end is anything but pleasant.
Isaiah 33:1b when you shall cease to spoil, you shall be spoiled; and when you shall make an end to deal treacherously, they shall deal treacherously with you.(AKJV)
Friends, this time I only speak to those of you who fear God. Will you repent, will you seek His face, will you pray for your Nation and look ernestly to Him for healing your land? Whether it is a plague like Covid, locusts bands, looting burning marauders, persecution from any government, or anything else for that matter . . . God is our only hope!
