Forgiveness Part I Two Unidentified Women

I think I will start my own “Me Too” movement, only I call mine, ME Too! He Too!! I have no desire to cause hurt to anyone, nor am I trying to make light of anyone’s pain, rather I am just trying to offer some perspective, and bring hope.
Perhaps you would like to join my movement . . . See what you think.
You were assaulted sexually? Me Too!
You were abused physically/mentally/emotionally? Me Too!
You were rejected by someone you loved and had your heart broken? Me Too!
You feel you suffered greatly due to all of the above? Me Too!
You have felt unloved and wounded? Me Too!
You have suffered financially due to someone else doing you harm? Wow, Me Too!
You have felt totally alone, and felt no one understood what you were going through? Me Too!
You have been falsely accused of doing horrible things? Me Too!
You have suffered greatly due to other people lying about you? Me Too!
You have been a victim of character assassination? Me Too!
You have been betrayed, stabbed in the back by friends? Me Too!
You felt you are carrying the weight of the World on your shoulders? Me Too!
I could go on, but I think you catch my drift! For a lot of things, I can say, “Been there, done that, bought the T shirt!”
But not all things. sometimes a client will assume I do not understand what he/she is going through for I haven’t been through and identical experience. “You haven’t been an alcoholic, so how would you understand?” or “You haven’t had to deal with a drug addict for a husband, so how would you know?” or “Have you . . . (you fill in the blank)”
No, I haven’t and I hope to never go through a lot of what many of you have, or are going through! It would be awfully presumptuous and terribly insensitive of me to think for a moment that I know exactly how you feel.
But I can say, I have been through my own crucible, and I carry my own cross! I can say that life has brought many hardships my way and that I am simply on the journey of life, a traveler just as you are. Sometimes the path is easy and good, other times, it can be a grueling walk.
However, in all the experiences you and I may go through, the emotions are common to all of us. Fear (even terror), rejection, pain, broken-heart, anguish, depression, anger, rage, helplessness, hopelessness, and any other negative emotion you have felt is common to all. No matter where you live, no matter what your circumstance, there are others that have felt these emotions also.
Here is where my “Me Too!” gets the “He Too!!” added!
Everything you and I have been through, He, Jesus, gets it!
Hebrews 4:15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who was tempted in every way that we are, yet was without sin.(BSB)
Everything you have gone through, He has felt, and then some!
Isaiah 53: 2b He had no stately form or majesty to attract us, no beauty that we should desire Him. 3 He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, acquainted with grief. Like one from whom men hide their faces, He was despised, and we esteemed Him not.(BSB)
He knew rejection, He knew Pain and a Broken Heart! He knew the feeling of Helplessness!
Isaiah 53: 7 He was oppressed and afflicted, yet He did not open His mouth.(BSB)
He gets it! He knows how you feel when you go through difficult circumstances!
Only difference is He did not sin, and didn’t deserve to go through any suffering of any kind, ever. He did it for you and me.
Isaiah 53: 4 Surely He took on our infirmities and carried our sorrows; yet we considered Him stricken by God, struck down and afflicted. 5 But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. 6 We all like sheep have gone astray, each one has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.(BSB)
Also:
Isaiah 52: 14 just as many were appalled at You— His appearance was disfigured beyond that of any man, and His form was marred beyond human likeness -(BSB)
Everything you and I have been through, and things we haven’t been through, are all things that He (Jesus) has been through, so He understands.
Not just that, He paid the price literally, and purchased our healing.
For all my pain he offers me His nail pierced hand to lift me up to higher levels where I find healing and peace . . .
In everything He brings me comfort and peace and healing, so that I do not have to dwell in the place of hopelessness, rejection, fear, anguish, depression, anger, un-forgiveness. Instead, I choose to dwell in His Shelter:
Psalm 91: 1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say to the LORD, “You are my refuge and fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
You can do this too! What have you to lose? Consider what you will gain . . .

Watching innocent men and women being harassed makes me more aware what Jesus suffered here on earth. When we know Christ as our savior, what we go through is nothing because He is beside us and has given us a peace that is beyond all understanding.
